About
us
We - Vilhjálmur Þórarinsson and Guðbjörg Ólafsdóttir - moved
with
our children to Litla-Tunga 2 in 1978. Originally Litla-Tunga were and still are two farms and
we took over Litla-Tunga 1 in 1987.
With us at Litla-Tunga live three of our sons - Þórarinn, Ketill and Guðni.
Guðni lives at Litla-Tunga I with his danish girlfriend Kathrine, who has been training our horses over the last years.
At Litla-Tunga we run an extensive hay sale. Each summer a large amount of heylage is produced, wrapped and storaged here. During the winter the hay is mainly sold to horse stables near Reykjavik or shipped out to the Faroe Islands.
Next to the farming and hay sale we are running a construction firm and a trucking company.
It is a family business which we are all a part of.
